Computer Design
Here at Unique Woodworking, we have a computer software that allows our customers to see what their cabinets will look like before they are made. Not only will we show them their cabinets, we can show them the whole room, with color schemes and more. This is a wonderful tool to help them see what the room will look like when it is completed.

Above, you can see the computer design progression. If the customer is unhappy with any set up, it can be changed before it is built. You can see in pictures one and two, the peninsula was attached to the end cabinet. The customer could see the kitchen was smaller then they liked, and the end cabinet was buried behind the peninsula thus limiting access. The plan was changed and the peninsula was made smaller to fit the wall next to the end cabinet, as you see in pictures three, four and five. Picture 7 shows the finished peninsula. Pictures 1-8 shows the progression of the Walnut Job we featured. Picture 9 is a walnut kitchen, 10 is a maple kitchen and 11 is a custom made oak entertainment unit.
From the computer program, we can give the customer an estimate. From there the customer can see where the budget is and add or subtract features to completely customize their job. Once finalized, we can use the software to help figure order list for lumber and materials as well as cut list to help get the job started and finished with little waste.
